MSMS CA hosts an online presentation by Mary Bechtel, our school’s SEBL coordinator (SEBL=Social, Emotional and Behavioral Learning). She will be explaining the new curriculum that our K-8 students will be using and which use strong home-school connections, so caregivers can learn and use the same strategies at home. The objective is that everyone have a common language and be equipped with strategies to help our students increase their self-awareness, self-management, relationship, organizational and decision-making skills.

Soon all K-6 students will be taking home weekly information about the program and the SEBL plan to hold 2 sessions each year to present the tools and strategies to caregivers so they can be used more effectively at home as well. The first session is about how to create and use a “Family Charter” and a “Mood Meter” which are the tools students will be using in school.
