RVS PTO Mission
The mission of the RVS P.T.O. is to provide parents an opportunity to be involved in Roxbury Village School and to help enrich the educational experiences of the students by facilitating field trips, providing funds to teachers and providing opportunities for our students to interact with other children in the district.
Our Roxbury PTO is a part of a larger parents group within the Montpelier-Roxbury school district which is called the “Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools Partners in Education” or MRPS PIE. This allows us the opportunity to partner with Union Elementary and their activities as well as step up day with Main Street Middle School. As part of a combined parents group it also allows us to have non-profit status so that donations are tax deductible to donors.

WHAT WE FUND
The Roxbury PTO has been known for its generosity and collaboration with the teachers and students. In past years we have helped fund field trips, social activities, educational assemblies, a winter sports PE program (ice skating), annual Halloween party, annual STEAM night, help fund the farm to school program and much more to help facilitate the best experience possible for the students at RVS.
Throughout the year, the Roxbury PTO holds several fundraising events to raise money to provide enriching educational experiences for our students, that otherwise would not have been possible. This past year we had a successful fundraisers with Little Caesar’s Pizza Kits and High Mowing Seeds.
For the last few years, there has been interest in building a large pavilion for the playground so the kids can eat outside and do community activities such as farm to school dinner and graduation outside. Roxbury PTO is working on a plan on how to support this idea.
